What Does it Mean to be Anti-Racist:
An Interactive Webinar Series
We find ourselves in a very difficult yet transformative time right now, and I’d like to take the time to share what we are doing as an organization. Kuluntu Bakery’s mission is to build community through baking and breaking bread, and we have been working hard to expand this mission by creating a nonprofit bakery centered around womxn and community. We believe that we cannot build community while our Black brothers and sisters are being murdered, oppressed and treated as anything less than the humans that they are.
With that in mind, we invite you to a four part webinar series “What Does It Mean to be Anti-Racist”, which will be led by my husband, Dr. Warren Chalklen.
Many of you have gotten to know Warren through our various events. You may or may not know that Warren is a diversity, equity & inclusion professional and has a PhD focused on educational equity. He grew up in a mixed race family in racially segregated South Africa, which uniquely shapes how he sees and experiences the world. This event is free and welcome to all who would like to learn about anti-racist practices and strategic actions one can take to advance racial justice. Please sign up here.
